Like every other year makers of Big Boss try to get flavor from
well known celebrities. In this season too the show welcomed 7 celebrity contestants
– Bani J, Gaurav Chopra, Karan Mehra, Mona Lisa, Lopamudra Raut, Rahul Dev and
Rohan Mehra. According to few reports it took several seasons to the makers to
bring Rahul and Bani on the show as they were refusing the offer from last many
seasons. So, why they are on the show now? Money and Money!!!
Currently these two are the highest paid celebrities on the
show. In fact Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s star Karan Mehra is getting a
whopping Rs 1 Crore. Though, the contestant gets paid depending on the weeks
they survive on the show as well as the groups they fall into – top level, mid
level and bottom level.
In midst of all here comes the host Salman Khan who is paid
Rs 6-8 crores for every episode. This is a 30 percent increase he has received
in the last season of Big Boss.
Unnecessary fights, lousy atmosphere, desperation for
survival on a platform of controversies to gain spotlight and fetch money is
the format of the show. The money these celebs receive after selling their
personnel life to the public is it quite worthy off? Let’s watch out this
